Does anyone have some recommendations for really good luthiers in the US, preferably in NY (central NY or NYC is fine)? Past work on teles would obviously be essential. Just looking to have a custom neck installed and set up. No f'ups can be tolerated. Smile
Brian: a recommendation from you would be welcome.
Thanks to all.

this guy is the best builder i have seen in all of my 40 years playing.
the necks that he creates, are just the best. very different than any fender stock type necks etc.
he is expensive, but if you request, you can get swamp ash etc, as light as 4 pounds, (mine was that)...and some out there may not like this guy because he is not the easiest guy to get along with, but his work is in high demand, and the finished product, if you go the distance financially, is just the best in my humble opinion.

on another note# Joe Glazier in Nashville Tn.

New Jersey is close to NY. Dave Hirsh is highly recommended from a fellow I sold an amp to in NJ. He's done work for some big names and his pricing is reasonable.
