Better neck for my bender?

Hope the regulars here can help.
Gene recently built me a bender and its perfect in almost every way. The problem is with the neck. He put on a maple neck from Mighty Mite. It's ok, certainly not flawed, but it seems a little weird to me: rather wide and flat and not all that conducive to playing quick riffs. I'm struggling a little with it.
I have a Nocaster with a C shaped neck that is nicely worn, so maybe I'm being a little fussy.
Question: should I have it replaced on this new g'tar? If so, what might be the best neck for a bender and where can it be purchased?
Thanks to all who reply.

I would say that a neck isn't necessarily a factor with regard to bender playing but an overall personal preference for playing the guitar in general.

The places that I've used for necks are

www.allparts.com and

www.warmoth.com

There's other places too like

www.usacustomguitars.com and

www.musikraft.com

Each of of them have a variety of styles and shapes and features you can pick from...

What brand of body was used? I'm surprised it had a Mighty Mite neck... Generally those are not the first choice for building a custom guitar.

Sounds like you have a 9.5 radius, which is good for speed and control.

Thanks to both of you.
Brian: I was a little surprised Gene used this neck, too. But he told me first and said that it was fine structurally. So there was disclosure, for sure. In retrospect, maybe I should've waited for something better to come into his shop, but the price was already getting quite high the way it was.
Not sure about the make on the body. Solid swamp ash, that I know.
I'll look at some new necks down the road. This one is fine, but it's not perfect for my playing style.
Thanks also, Brian, for recommending the slowdowner software. Seems like a good buy.

sounds like you're pretty lucky. a wide neck is great, and the rest by Gene Parsons, i am jealous. play it, love it, enjoy it.

Stew mac sells Mighty Mite necks now. I have two (one strat, one tele)and they are actually very nice. I thought about putting one on my NW and then decided on an Ameican Standard neck I had. The contours of the AS and MM necks is similar

Thanks to everyone who replied. Perhaps I am being a little fussy.
But I had a look at the sites Brian suggested. Musikraft now sells the telecaster blackguard bodies and - for my purposes - necks. Smile
A range of years are available. Looks interesting. Smile

The only thing you have to be careful about is the neck pocket of the body...Not every single aftermarket Tele body is designed to the same exact specs. Consequently not all aftermarket necks will fill your neck pocket properly. You might find that another neck might not fit (too tight) or is way too loose.... It would help if you knew who manufactured the body or take accurate measurements of the neck / neck pocket and provide them to the neck manufacturer to make sure it will fit.

Brian
I emailed Gene and he told me it was a WD body that had been in his shop for a decade and a half. You think the Fender necks referred to above would be OK for a fit?
It's OK if you don't know. I'm just trying to get as much info as possible.
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you might want a deeper profile. My '56 clone had that, but my current #1 is wide with a shallow feel, more akin to Warford's.

Does anyone sell a nice vintage style Tele neck with a pre cut nut?
