is the name of a forthcoming Whirlwind pedal I saw today at NAMM. It's a compressor and separate "chime boost", much like the Janglebox II, but with less EQand projected at about 60% of the price, maybe 50% street, since JB doesn't discount to dealers. Much quieter than the original JB I had for a short while. I heard with a strat through a Princeton Reverb on "Nowhere Man" and a Rick 12 on various Byrds songs. Should be out in 60 days or so. I'll email a picture to Brian for posting.

Rick, look forward to seeing and hearing this pedal. I've had GAS for a JB but with the times (and a rack and bag full of pedals), I've not wanted to spend that much money. I'm glad someone else is building this type of effect in one unit.

As you can see, there are some cosmetic fixes to be done before release, but the boxes sounded pretty good as is.

Whirlwind shows it on their website, but no info as to release date. I have a Janglebox, but ya know, you can never have too many toys....

I've heard good things about the Whirlwind Rochester series of MXR clones. As I understand it, a former MXR engineer had a hand in them. I'd buy a Byrdbox. Sounds like a winner.
