Agreed, 100%!! You are missed, Clarence! Your amazing work with the StringBender will never be equalled - not even by Marty Stuart, as much as a fan I am of his. Can someone answer a question that has long-intrigued me? Why do some websites list Clarence's death as being on July 14, 1973 and some (like the WikiPedia article on him) list his death as happening on July 15, 1973??

Thank you....I didn't want to upset anyone who knew Clarence. Someone kindly informed me via email that it was July 15, 1973.

I probably have 5 or 6 CDs of Byrds covers. Some get pretty close to Roger's Ric sound. Some decent singing but no match for the harmonies of the original 5 Byrds. When the bands get to the later Clarence stuff they don't even try. Never equaled once in a lifetime musician. Hard to believe he's been gone 38 years.
