Sierra (John Delgatto) sent out an e-mail to everyone on the Sierra mailing list about the passing of Jim Dickson. It would have been interesting to read Dickson's (along with his partner Eddie Tickner) recollections about the time he spent working with the early Byrds. I've never been able to find any published interviews. |

There's a load of interview material with Jim Dickson in Rogan's book on the Byrds. |

Thanks Bugler, I'd completely forgotten about Rogan's book which I'd read several years ago. Gonna have to dig it out again. |

Dickson was key ...he gave Byrds studio time to find their sound ...suggested Hillman as bass player, and encouraged the group to "go for substance".
