Just curious who is using an Anolog delay right now and what one are you using?
I am looking for one if someone is selling. Aquapuss, Ibanez AD90, or a 999. Anyone?

These have worked out very well for me. There are many other candidates: Dunlop Carbon Copies, Malekko's, Memory Lanes, Analogmans, etc., across the price spectrum, along with the ubiquitous "analog voiced" digitals.

If you can, hold out for an Echoplex. Big difference all around.

I had an Echoplex for a while in the early '90's. It does what it does better than anything else, but you'll need a good tech handy, a source of parts, and it is obviously not versatile; e.g., it won't do the dotted eight note trick or longer delays. It won't run on 9v batteries or an AC adapter, or fit in a gig bag pocket or the back of a combo amp.

If I were going the Echoplex route, I'd definitely go with Fulltone's Tube Tape Echo.

Fuller is also working on a Solid State Tube echo that should be quite a bit cheaper. I think he's looking at a price point of around $600

Have an old beatup EP-2 ..run it all day in the studio, and it runs at our live gigs as the PA reverb. And back in the 70's I used an EP3 for guitar, gigged a ton, and it never skipped a beat. I'm thinking they're built strong.

I'm not selling, but I have a Ibanez UE 405 Multi Effects Rack mount that was made in the 80s. I've had it for for about 16 years. Its has a Compressor/Limiter, Stereo Chorus, a Parametric EQ, and a great Analog Delay. Great units and you can still find them fairly cheap. Here is a link to the original ad and manual.

dogbear, I have the same unit in a three rack space box along with a BBE Sonic Maximizer. I use it mostly for my pedal steel. I just use the delay only and never use the other parts of the unit.......JH in Va.
