In 1977 when Gene installed my bender my instructions were "make it like CW's". He installed Keith tuners and a phase switch. Gene was Clarence's best friend and worked on CW's instrument. In retrospect it seems inconceivable that Gene would not know about the VH's. The whole VH thing is starting to look really flimsy. For the moment it looks like the only evidence is from either Mike Nihen or Jim's conversation with CW. Conspiracy theory starts here Very Happy

There's another guy somebody could ask---Roger. Roger has always been an extreme tech geek--from installing the treble booster in his Ric to having one of the first cell phones in a briefcase. He's still like that. If CW had anything as elaborate as the VH wiring setup Roger would have been interested.
