Does this seem like a good deal?

There's a '65 Pro Reverb on our local Craigslist, with a $1699 asking price. Seems like a potential deal, especially if you could talk it down a little further. Not alot of info on the posting, but I emailed him, and he claims its original except for a 3-prong chord and a cap job. Says it's had two owners, and was originally purchased in '66 in Yakima, WA. He'd rather go into more detail over the phone, probably a good thing. Here's the listing:

I'm pretty tempted myself, but then I'd be sitting on two amps when I actually want a new Tele. I'd have to get it checked out first, but if it's original where it needs to be, it seems like a good opportunity the way prices keep going up for vintage gear. Anyway, since I'm not sure about it, I thought I'd give the heads up over here; I know those Pro Reverbs are pretty sought after. Just as an FYI, I think this amp has been listed for a while, maybe 3 months, so that may say something about the "deal", who knows?

Carry on.
