Not at all. I recall Rosemarie saying on here that he interviewed her and Roland and, indeed, Michelle. So there's no reason to suggest that he's not covering Clarence in Volume 2. I'd say it's still ...

Well done on correcting the Hall of Fame. Yes, it's regrettable to see how underestimated CW remains in the eyes of the wider so-called rock community. I thought there would be some significant media ...

Depends which one you want. The original, credited to John Rogan, came out in 1981 and finding a mint copy would be difficult. Unless you're a serious book collector of first editions, it might be mor ...

Well, I couldn't agree more. I miss both the debates and the info and I don't see Facebook as any kind of substitute at all. Having said all that I don't think you're correct about the Passaic gig. Ju ...

We've all been away for far too long. Thanks for posting that recent retrospective on Clarence from Guitar World or wherever. There's not as many of those as there once was, I'm afraid. Best thing I c ...

I think it says Dawson Sound on the download. I attended the concert and, if memory serves, there was a lot of feedback that night. Didn't think it was one of their best, but interested to hear it.

There's a load of interview material with Jim Dickson in Rogan's book on the Byrds.

I'm sure David will be thrilled to learn that you think he was a lesser talent than Michael Clarke, Kevin Kelley, Gene Parsons, John York and Skip Battin. This forum question has been quiet for 2 yea ...

Regarding Bakerbyrd's comments. It wasn't David Crosby that was the main factor in Gene's leaving. He was more generally displeased with the Fowley/Battin material (referenced on Byrdmaniax). As has be ...

Who were they? Does anyone know who else was in the line-up? Was this just a one off appearance by Clarence, or were there several?

Actually, the GP questions in Mastermind were a bit easier than others in the series. You should see some of the really tough ones on other people. The Emmylou club was actually Clyde's. Other answer ...

Those ones were surely earlier - when the Byrds went to Holland. This one is 1973 a few months before CW's death when the Kentucky Cols toured Europe.

This is quite a find. My favourite bit is where the interviewer asks a puzzled Clarence about the origins of the 'original' Kentucky Cols 'who took the Alamo'. Cue: embarrassing silence. 'Oh you don't ...

You mean Gene Parsons? Unlikely. What's your source? Speaking for Rogan, he interviewed Gene Parsons last year. He's never questioned a single point accuracy in print. Anyway, the book is constantly ...

The full interview has never been published in one place. Some of it was in Zig Zag magazine in a CW obit and, as you say, the bits regarding Clarence and the Byrds (particularly the reasons for the b ...
